Although I missed May’s monthly favorites post, I’m here today with my June favorites! May was a very stressful month as I was in the middle of moving out of my apartment + completing final exams. But on the the month of June..
- I celebrated my 20th birthday.
- I did a few photoshoots.
- I started my first ever summer job at Nothing Bundt Cakes.
- Officially changed my university major.
- Fell in love with thrifting.
Those were just a few things I did in the month of June. It’s so crazy that July is approaching already! I can’t wait to see what July brings to the table. Let’s get started with some of my monthly must-haves for June.
Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Lip Balm
I was browsing Sephora sometime this month when I ran into this Korean lip balm on one of the shelves. The brand is called “Too Cool For School” and this is their dinoplatz line of lip balms!
I really love this lip balm for two reasons: 1) it’s lightweight, comfortable, and gives a tinted pink color to my lips with this beautiful gloss & shine, it definitely accentuates the lips. 2) I hate wearing lipsticks, and this is a nice alternative to that!
2. YCL Jewels Necklaces
These two necklaces are my obsession right now. I have been following this brand since discovering a few interesting vegan youtubers, Ellen Fisher and Bonny Rebecca.
This brand is an Australian based, cruelty free and consciously manufactured company. I love this brand particularly because it’s mindful, and the pieces are so sophisticated and elegant. They are what I think to be timeless pieces.
Here are the two necklaces I own:
They’re stunning! I love that they are eco-conscious, as they try to ship with as little “extra” packaging as possible. (plastics, etc)
June Songs of the Month —
- Max Frost — Adderall.
- Honne — Someone That Loves You.
(This was in my playlist post earlier this month, but this song is too beautiful not to mention twice!)
- The Virgins — Rich Girls.
June Movie Suggestion(s) —
Blue is the Warmest Colour — this film is both so beautiful and brilliant, I can’t get over the production of this movie. The cinematography blows my mind. It’s about two french girls that fall in love, one who is sure about her sexuality, the other… not so much. Seeing the struggles between them is eye-opening. It’s a must see!
